Located in the northwest foothills of Santa Fe, this historic estate commands views in every direction, from the Sangre de Cristos to the Jemez Mountains. Our client designed and directed a major renovation of the house, leaving a tabula rasa of a site for us to develop our landscape strategies. We started the design process through the creation of a landscape master plan, in which we developed multiple planting palettes for different areas of the property. These palettes varied greatly, from more formal courtyard gardens to complex native meadows, composed of grasses and wildflowers.
